I really appreciate Gina Misiroglu's work, primarily because she makes pop-culture and biographical subjects FUN and accessible. I've read both her superhero and supervillain tomes, and love the way she weaves together American history, biography, and the everyday plots and personalities of comics. she makes you look at a subject from a whole new perspective, and that's fresh. Because with all the critiqes being published about comics these days, it's nice to revel in deeper discussion and perspectives of the past.
