January's Child: The Birthday Month Book

Synopsis:
JANUARY'S CHILD offers a fun and unique way to celebrate your birth month and discover your birthday gifts. From January to December, each birth month is paired with a whimsical animal painted in vibrant jewel tones and an affirmation poem that is easy to memorize and builds self-esteem. JANUARY'S CHILD has become a favorite coffee table book and conversation-starter.
The seed of January's Child sprouted one evening when I was reading the old nursery rhyme, Monday's Child, to my daughter. It begins, Monday's child is full of grace/Tuesday's child is fair of face / Wednesday's child if full of woe ... and I thought, Whoa, that is negative! Do I really want my daughter to embrace such a pessimistic viewpoint? I decided to write my own version with a positive spin in the spirit of "Everyday is somebody's birthday."
