yes, one husband
Dec 2008

Northeastern New York has been my home for most of my life.  As a child, books were my only companion most of the time.  My mother, from Argentina, worked at home sewing draperies.  She loved books as a child and made sure I had plenty of them to keep me occupied as she sewed. I've been married for 35 yrs, and have one child, a wonderful, very talented son.  I went back to college when 35 yrs old and graduated magna cum laude from a local community college with my RN degree.  For many yrs I worked at several hospitals and private duty.  In 2003 I had to quit my job to care for my Dad, and I'm happy I did.  The task of taking care of both parents over a period of 9 yrs was very difficult at times, but also a blessing.  I'm enthusiastic about searching for what next might spark my interest.  Right now it's the ancient winter song singers from the carpathian village of Kryvorivnia.  Briefly speaking, these singers go to each home with their instruments of old and sing a special song to each person who lives in the house.  A song is chosen especially for each person.  As this occurs near the celebration of Christmas, what could ever be a better gift?
