Climbing Mountains

Raining in Texas since yesterday afternoon. The freeze last week killed the 12-foot split-leaf philodendron and the 6-foot umbrella plant. The garden is a mess. I looked at the plants piled on top of each other and was briefly sad...until I thought of Haiti and the buildings piled on top of each other. The projection: half a million fatalities. Mountains of rock, plaster, windows, interlaced with moms, dads, kids, pets, and dreams.
