Call me old fashion, or a stick in the mud if you will; however, with all the young music stars who can leave a favorable impression on the tweens and teens of today, I just don't get Lady GaGa.
The first time I heard the name, "Lady GaGa," I thought it was a joke. I know I may not be up on the latest teen stars and icons that are rocking the lives of our children, but for me, Lady GaGa is a teen sensation that puzzles my mind. Miss G is outlandish, eccentric and a tad bit bizzare. But she has made a name for herself in the lime light, among the teens and surrounding media outlets that keep an update on her.
One of the most talked about situations with Miss G is the time she posed wearing nothing but raw meat in a photo shoot. Can you imagine being covered in thinly sliced steaks and then posing seductively for the camera? Who would do that and why? Do you really have to do anything and everything to get on top and to stay there?
Though her videos may capture the hearts of our young and the impressionables; I find them to be a bit disturbing, especially the one entitled, "ALEGANDRO." I just don't get it!
Now, musicians that I do understand and can get into at my age are muscians such as Joss Stone and Nikki Yanofsky. Their voices are impecible as well as their style and the message behind their music. I can listen and watch these two young ladies perform without grimicing. To me, they have class while still holding on to their innocence; whereas to me, Ms Ga Ga's is gone and all used up. But that's just my opinon, what do you think?
