The uncountable numbers of young adults and children that are dying from cancers and other life threatening diseases, are filled with hope, dreams and aspirations.
The families, friends, medical teams and support groups that care for, nurture and love these dying young adults and children are filled with fear, compassion and sadness.
The battles are deadly. The heroes are many.
The following is a poem that I wrote, encouraging the young, who are fighting, daily, the battles of their lives.
Follow grand ideas until stranded.
Conquer every threat until abandoned.
Search the darkest space until surrendered.
Conceive of far off worlds while apprehended.
When you cease to further qualify or measure,
Distant constellations' outlying cosmic weather,
Gaze with willful joy and fascination,
Upon outcast planetary procreation.
