Wendy was born in 1955 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. As one of eight children, she was raised by parents of Eastern European decent. While growing up on a small farm in the prairie province of Saskatchewan, Wendy constantly pursued a creative approach to entertainment. From the satisfaction of cutting out paper dolls, hand forming mud-clay portraits and braiding grass necklaces, she decided she was a natural candidate for an exciting life-long career in the visual arts. After years of experimentation, education, collaboration and exhibition, she hassuccessfully completed a large body of socially significant and culturally sensitive paintings, ceramics and other artworks. She now devotes her time to writing poetry and fiction stories, where she collides comedy with tragedy, laughter with pain, and life with death.
