Today was a perfect summer day, not one cloud in the sky, the humidity gone, a slight breeze, and hot enought to enjoy it. Aedan had camp today, so Ally and I went to our local pool. Why is it that as soon as you plop down on a sandy blanket that it is so easy to become lost in a book? I was lost in the world of dragons and lovers and did NOT want to be inturrupted to reapply sunscreen, or to watch one more "handstand" in the water. I had to shut the book on the last 12 or so pages, to get Aedan from camp. I couldn't wait to get home and finish it! I burned our dinner reading the end of the book, and happily made bowls of cereal (Guess what, kids! Breakfast for Dinner!!) as I replayed parts of the book in my head.
That is a perfect summer read for you. Adding to a perfect summer day! Not a perfect dinner, but a perfect day.
