Ah, Avalon

I remember in high school being so excited to learn that Merlin's mistress was named Vivian. It made me feel mysterious and enchanting instead of like I was burdened with a "grandma" name.

I didn't know that either! Yes the whole subject of Merlin is so enduring isn't it? I definitely felt the vibe when I went to Cornwall a few years ago. I've only ever known one person with the name of Vivian actually - definitely not a Granny name. :o)
