Oh, how I love reviewing the news. I'm sure you do also. I'm fascinated by the ineptitude of our local, national and international news-anchors and the media at large. Now, I know you will say,"The networks wouldn't be on the air if it were not for the advertising revenue their sponsors pay." and the networks must, by and large, succumb to their political and irrevocable clout. So much for freedom of the press. Most individuals I speak with take the press literally. Reading in between the lines is not part of their educational upbringing. Everything they ingest is gosple. No grey areas or reason to question. How ignorant we are becoming! The search for and of the truth is non-comprehendible today.
This is a conundrum for me. How many of you have watched the commercial where a large group of firefighters are making major decisions concerning clean water, more cleaner air and the like? In unison, all say "Aye", the gavel is dropped, the agenda one by one unanimously approved. No discussion, debate or committees struck, no arguments or tabling. Just a plain and simple expression of needed change for the betterment of humankind. How elementary and effortless. Now, here comes the galactic question. What is wrong with the world political establishments that the same criteria could not be followed in a similar or modified equation? How silly of me. Of course, they are politicians, senators and congressmen being incapable of making such straight forward and unbiased judgements. Representing the masses, their constituents, or better yet, their conscience, is a ingrained obsolescence.
Financial institutions, the insurance industry, the arms traders, all foreign and domestic middlemen and governments world-wide, produce, incredibly enough, absolutely nothing. Not one single tangible product or item. One monsterous side effect of their exsistence, is the vast amount of paper work and redundances. And, lest we forget, demanding our money, and may I add, billions of it each and every year. What is the answer to this unprecedented greed and manipulation? Frankly, I can not see a solution. But what I do see, is a finality never before encountered in our lifetime and for better or worse, the dragon has just raised it's head, especially in the U.S. and will spread it's fire and destuction exponentially.
Finally, I am an optimist who sees the good in all things. Good comes from everything whether we see it currently or in the future. Generations to come will sit in admonishment at our doltishness and uncompromising decisions. Hopefully, we and they will learn to treat every human being as an individual entitiy with respect, regardless of colour, race or creed. And may this be accomplished with great speed. Political aspirations notwithstanding.
