where the writers are
This may be an instance of writer's block

or a stall, still about writing not actually writing, but I have been worrying about my pen name.  As it will appear in the many tomes I will (someday) produce.

What about Gin Conn?  It used to be part of an email address, until I found another Virginia Conn in MA.  Or somewhere.   There was also a Virginia Conn in Buffalo NY, where I went to graduate school.    I called her and she said she'd gotten calls for me!  Freaked me out!  So which is weirder: those tracers (bill collectors? *snort* I have student oans and I'm easily track-able.)  Or my calling her?

Problem is, I have published Poetry and one short story under Virginia Conn and I'm sure the one or two readers who have followed my career... meh.  No one knows me.  Which means I'm free to name myself!

The only reason I kept Virginia Conn is because a woman at the office I worked in as a senior in high school thought it was a perfect author's name.  Silly way to pick a pen name, eh?

My middle name is Mae, which I hate, so the three name route is out.  Unless I write country songs and call myself Ginny Mae.  Not an option.
