Victor Williams's Biography

I'm a West Coast native with 30 years of experience as a writer, editor and publisher of non-fiction. I am currently co-publisher of Fairways + Greens Magazine, a Reno, Nevada-based golf, travel and lifestyle publication that covers the sport and ancillary interests throughout the West and beyond. I write the lion's share of material for the magazine, from celebrity profiles to in-depth golf course and destination reviews to restaurant, equipment and book reviews. I also write golf for various other publications in the Reno area, and in the past have written extensively in the entertainment and travel fields. Other subjects into which I would like to delve as writer include politics, music, environmental concerns, business, religion and technology. I have a BA in English from California State University, Chico, and read avidly in many subjects — fiction and literature, biography, history, technology, science, adventure, travel, music, philosophy, poetry and politics. Favorite authors include William Faulkner, Shakespeare, Cormac McCarthy, Flannery O'Connor, Stephen King.
