I have actually done it. A few minutes ago, I broke 50,000 words on my NaNo novel. I now have 50, 710 words and a completed first draft of my first manuscript ever. I can hardly wait to start the editing process. I might make a copy of the draft just so I can do that. I need the original to win NaNo.
When I first started this, I had no idea I would actually be able to finish it, let alone do it early! I am so excited! I've made such routine of writing every morning that I don't know what I'll do with myself if I don't. I think I'll keep writing, anything and everything I can. Did I say I was excited?
I know this draft needs a lot of work. But that's what December is for. It's National Novel Editing Month. Whew. Now what?
