Member Info

Yaizu, Japan

I'm an American expat who's been residing in Japan for the past eighteen years. Aside from writing, I research and study Japanese folklore and mythical creatures. I also pound stones until they resemble Buddhist images.

I've had a dozen or so stories appear in various print magazines as well as one included in the anthology Touched by Wonder. My collection of short stories, A Robe of Feathers and Other Stories, will be published by Counterpoint Press this May.

Influences

I adore Nathan Englander, William Faulkner, Flanner O'Connor, Kurt Vonnegut, and Jeffery Euginides.
