Okay, so yesterday was an awful, terrible, horrible bad day--it started when I arrived at work to learn 2 of our librarians called in sick. And our volunteer was coming in late. And...Mondays are always our busiest day of the week! Until school's out in 2 more weeks. Then every day is unbelievable.

Talk about harried!!! So there were 3 of us--2 when 1 of us had to take lunch break and so it was absolutely crazy.

So this is me! Once I finally got things under control!

Didn't I tell you this was a Monday! Okay, so it was a Monday and a half.

What's worse is our summers are like this when the staff are taking vacations and our patron load is more than doubled. And when someone gets sick, it's a major catastrophe. Last year, I had to call the main library for reinforcements when we were so short-staffed we didn't even have coverage for lunch. And the city will NOT pay for overtime...so something had to give. *sigh* So much to look forward to. I just hope I can look this "good" under all the pressure. :)

Then I came home to severe thunderstorms that knocked out my internet for most of the night. *double sigh*
