Here is a picture of an Arctic wolf, hopping from bitty islands of snow and I'm thinking, what is he thinking??? Anyway, The Legend of the White Wolf is coming soon and it's all about a bunch of Arctic wolves--werewolves, that is, the hero searching for his missing friends, and the heroine struggling to learn the truth about her father's ravings. :)
And Temptation of the Wolf is coming in the fall, where the hero is having a real struggle keeping his pack together, but more than that, a human woman has caught his attention and she spells real trouble.
But for now, Heart of the Wolf, Publishers Weekly's Best Book of the Year and NOR Reader Choice Award for Best Paranormal Romance is out, which is the first of the world of shapeshifters who in their human form still have some of the wolf's characteristics, and in their wolf forms, the sensibilities of a human. Destiny of the Wolf is now available at Barnes and Nobles and Amazon. Borders are still awaiting their shipment. So if you're looking for the next in the werewolf saga, grab a copy of the book--the cover alone is a tempting delight!
I'm soooo excited! I'm almost finished with edits for Huntress so I can send the submission off! I finished reading 7 terrific Rita contest entries. Forbidden Love made it another week in the First Line Contest! I'm celebrating my son's birthday tonight at Outback, my favorite--and yes, his favorite place in the world, and my mother is feeling better after getting her blood transfusion! And to top it off, I've posted a couple of terrific reviews below!!!
So all in all, this is a great day! Oh, and I'm not working today!!! Well, not in the sense of working the real job! For authors---sales are hopping for Destiny of the Wolf, Heart of the Wolf and Winning the Highlander's Heart! What made this happen? Letting the world know a new release is out, for one. New releases spur sales of old releases. Having a great review from a reviewer who is listed as Amazon's top reviewer helps too! Which is why having Harriet Klausner's super review was so exciting! She also has her reviews at a number of different places, which helps to get the word out to a lot of different readers who wouldn't know about our works otherwise. So yes, getting the word out, reviews, etc, do help push sales.
DESTINY OF THE WOLF is an enjoyable satirical werewolf romantic suspense that takes a delightful bite at the mythology of moon howling shapeshifters while also ridicules racism. The support cast serves mostly to enhance understanding of the lifestyle of the packs especially that of the grey or the lead couple who risk their lives with a need to know why. Fans will relish this wonderful lampooning of the lycan legend inside an exhilarating thriller that enables the audience to get beyond the myths into the HEART OF THE WOLF. ~~Harriet Klausner, http://www.alternative-worlds.com/2009/02/05/destiny-of-the-wolf-terry-spear/
"A Werewolf Tale that will have you believing they live among us!"I love Ms. Spear's lupus garou society. She creates a world that makes you believe werewolves live among us. The chemistry between Darien and Lelandi sizzles the pages. They are both equally matched in determination, proving their alpha standing to the pack. The mystery is brilliantly woven into the tale, adding to the suspense as you wonder who the villain is. This a definite keeper on my shelf! ~~Karen Michelle Nutt, ParaNormal Reviews
Okay, now I'm off to work on Huntress, and hope you all have a terrific Saturday!!! :)
Oh, and....wolves live in every kind of terrain, so if you were a wolf, what kind of environment would you want to live in?
