We had violent storms again last night. They always seem perfect for what I'm doing...writing about werewolves living in the Northwest, or about vampires. :) Hot, sunny sun filled skies don't give me the right sense of setting. :) So I take some pictures like this and it helps get me in the mood. :)
But I couldn't take a picture like this if I hadn't gone out and bought a new camera. My other one, that I loved, but bought 10 years ago, had the floppy disks. Five photos per disk, max. Now my computer doesn't have a floppy disk drive. Had to get an external one. Now it doesn't work on my computer.
*sigh* How can I get nice stormy pictures that I can call my very own without a camera??? So I bought one. Now, as I was struggling to learn how to operate it, and then how to upload the pictures on the computer (it really helps to read the directions!!! which is always the last resort), I did it!
I almost called my daughter. I even considered waiting until my computer programmer son came home. But nope, I was bound and determined to figure this out on my own. Because the last time I got a new fangled contraption, phone with camera on it (came with it, I didn't buy a more expensive one to have a camera on it)...and I'm still trying to figure out how to work it...wonder if I read the manual, that would help?
Anyway...my daughter had said, "Why did you get a camera on your phone? You'll never figure out how to use it."
So I was determined to learn how to use my new camera, all by myself. :)
I've learned all kinds of new things all by myself over the years...thank you very much. Many things even that my daughter doesn't have a clue about. And this old dog is still learning new tricks.
One last picture before I'm back to edits on another author's work, and back to working on Seduction of the Wolf.
The big "trees" are Crepe Myrtles, and in the jasmine groundcover, the small pink flowers are also crepe myrtles, only volunteers. I like having them there for the color and height, but hmm, will it cause a jungle of crepe myrtles someday?
Of course what I really think about is SHADE. So maybe they'll provide just a little more shade....and that's NEVER a bad thing here. :)
