In Relative Danger, family get togethers can be murderously dangerous. But a family who plays together, stays together, right?
One year, my mother-in-law cooked the turkey at my home because my daughter was only a few days old. Now, my mother-in-law doesn't like to cook. Period. And I was in no shape to cook the turkey for our family and my husband's. Sooo, she made the turkey.
When the big time came to pull the perfectly roasted turkey out of the oven, my father-in-law promptly said, "You cooked it upside down!"
:) She was not happy, mad at everyone for not telling her which way to cook the turkey. Ever since then I always worry that I'll get the silly thing wrong side up. But you know what? It tastes great no matter whether it lying on its belly or its back!
Here's hoping your family gathering, whether big or small, is fun-filled!!! Oh, and I've got an interview here today, compliments of Karen Michelle Nutt!http://kmnbooks.blogspot.com/2009/11/interview-with-terry-spear.html Terry"Giving new meaning to the term alpha male."www.terryspear.com
