Life on the Oregon beach can be fraught with danger--if you're a wolf--werewolf-type!

If only my yard looked like this, I wouldn't have had to spend the last hour and a half mowing. I need to weedeat it, but I'll try to get to that next year. :)

Now that's what I call a goal. And probably doable. Goals should always be doable. :)

It's actually windy and cool out with lots of cloud cover---but what I need are huge trees like this, and lots of understory trees and NO GRASS and weeds. :)

I planted 7 live oaks two falls ago, but, alas, they're still scrawny and provide a stick's length of shade. I also planted a pistachio tree, which is about 2 sticks length of shade. And a leland cypress, which provides a short squat shadow of shade--so far, and a bald cypress which is doing really well and provides a tiny bit of shade. :)

Plus I had planted 3 pine trees, one of which looks sadly lacking in acidic nutrients, I believe, and two photinia, which have the same drained out color. *sigh* But the weeds are doing fantastic!!!

Which means it's truly time for me to get back to Jake and forget about the reality of the world---which for me is the ragged shape of my yard!

Beachfront property has more and more appeal. :)

My wild blog tour for Seduced by the Wolf will be scheduled for August because of going to conference. I'll show dates soon.

Hope you all are having a super Friday! Mine is terrific!!! Well, as soon as I get back to Jake!

TGIF!!
