Okay, so to be fair, the $11,000 was for an old fine value. $16,000 is the going rate now. But the good news is according to this site, bloggers who review an item they receive for free will not be fined even if they don't disclose they get it free. :)http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/social_networks/ftc_clarifies_blogger_guidelines_weve_never_brought_a_case_against_somebody_simply_for_failure_to_disclose_139589.asp
I'm about ready to go to training today, and I'm still coughing my head off. It started out as allergies, worked itself into a sinus infection, I've been sick for over a week, but I know everyone will think I'm swine flu contagious. argh. I already took 2 1/2 days off from work with sick leave, was on vacation for most of the rest of it and we're really short handed at work. *sigh*
But the good news is that I'm steadily working on the edits to Seduced by the Wolf (which put me behind on Plight of the Wolf) but I'm having a ball with the new editions and edits are due by Oct 30.
And this old dog learned some new tricks!!! Thanks to the Internet, and one of my students!!
First, I've been having trouble sometimes with spacing between paragraphs on blogs. They just decide to run all together, no matter what I do. So I found that inserting <p> in front of the text that needs to be separated by paragraph, then </p> at the end of that paragraph, does the magical trick. Just be sure to go to the html link so that you're in that screen when adding the magical p's. I know, I know, everyone already knows this. But just in case there's anyone out there who was confused like me...
Secondly, I have the older version Word on my regular computer, .docx on my laptop. My laptop can convert my docs, but my regular computer can't. Solution: There's also a compatibility plugin from Microsoft. It works with Excel and Powerpoint docs also.
Hope everyone has a super Monday!!!
