I know, I know, I already said I finished the book. But I really, really finished it as in, finished edits and sent it off to my editor. Now I'm working on the online workshop I have to present Nov 1. Usually, I'm not so behind on writing, but my mother has had major surgery and is sicker yet, so it's been hard trying to keep up.
So I promised more on promotions... keeping your name in the public eye. I blogged on and offered a free pdf copy of one of my new releases to a winner who has commented on my blog today:
I also blogged at http://casablancaauthors.blogspot.com/
And commented on others' blogs today at http://www.wickedlyromantic.blogspot.com/
On Wed and Sat I regularly post to Wickedly Romantic Blogspot, and on Saturday to Fierce Romance Writers. The first, is a guest blog at Yankee Romance Reviewers. Note on their site, they allow other guest bloggers. Just email them. And that's what I do. I see someone has blogged as a guest. I check out the site, and I ask if I can guest blog too. Plus I comment on the guest bloggers forum for that day also. On Thursday, I'm guest blogging at Enchanting Reviews.
And with the regular blogs I've listed above, Casablanca, Wickedly Romantic, Fierce Romance, these are all group author blogs, great to give a time to blog, but not as time consuming as an individual blog. Also I'm on shapeshifter romance word press.com
Do these help? Yes. I meet fans of mine I didn't know I had. I've had sites actually come to me and ask if I'd guest blog with them to bring more traffic to their site. What's good is that every time your name is somewhere else, you meet more people who don't know you or your titles. Sometimes reading your blog, they make a connection, find your story ideas are interesting and want to check them out.
So that's my promotion tips for today. Have to get back to working on the Show vs Tell online class coming Nov 1. One of these days I'm truly going to get caught up! More on promotions later. :)
