Dragon Fae is Available! And Fun with Covers!

When making a cover, you need to have the title and your name show up even in postage stamp size covers. The treasure box Ena is looking into was way too pale so the title didn't show up well. I darkened the box. Her eyes were really pale green which I liked, but they didn't show up much in the picture, so I brightened them a little. Her upper eyelashes were caked with white stuff, I think the eye shadow they used, so I blackened some of them and added eyelashes below. She's supposed to be Goth looking, even though she's dragon fae, so I left the shadow the color it was. If I had wanted to make her green eyes stand out more, I could have changed the shadow color to a muted green.

At first, I had flames down below, but I just didn't care for the look. It would have fit in with the dragon fae theme. But I liked the softer mistier look with the sparkles to give it more of a magical appearance and then added more sparkles in her hair to add to the magical quality.

I used Gimp2 and Mist brushes and sparkles and eyelashes. I also just brushed in eyelashes by hand and used one of the wands to encircle the eyes and then changed the hue/coloration to darker green.

Seeking to save Cassie from the dark fae, Princess Alicia runs into trouble in the form of dangerous fae seers. A dragon fae, who is different from all the rest, is sent to locate and rescue her. Simple mission. All Ena has to do is find the princess and return her home. Except nothing is simple in the world of the fae. Not when two fae kingdoms are involved. And humans. And fae seers. And all the trouble that can cause.

Fearing losing Alicia, Prince Deveron is ready to eliminate his own cousin for all the trouble he has caused over Alicia's best friend, Cassie, a human she grew up with. But Micala is not giving her up, even if it means taking drastic measures.

And Ena has her own troubles when this one little mission turns into a nightmare of epic proportions.

I was going to work on Highland Rank, but I received the final, final, final edits on A HOWL for a Highlander. And when the wolves are howling, they take priority. It's always fun for me to reread the final copy of a book before it's off to the publishers!!! I fall in love with the characters all over again!

One of my fun scenes was taking Duncan shopping. :)

Have a SUPER great Friday!!!
