This is a teen and a baby giraffe. There's just something about babies that make them loveable. Don't you think?
When I wrote Heart of the Wolf, I was going for the couple, so for a lot of the book, I tried to concentrate on the romance and suspense that involved a couple of hot wolves. But my editor said that these were wolf packs. And I should show kids.
Yes, but this is a romance. So I was a little reluctant to show a bunch of kids in a romance/werewolf/suspense. It can be hard juggling all these things and not take away from the focus of the story.
But in Destiny of the Wolf, I had teens who got into trouble and a little bit about wolf children off playing with adult supervision. So I had the prerequisite, all encompassing wolf pack.
In To Tempt the Wolf, I was back to an all adult world. The same in Legend of the White Wolf.
But I had to show real pack dynamics, so in Seduced by the Wolf, I had some rambunctious teens. :)
In Wolf Fever and Dreaming of the Wolf, no kids.
I love showing teens. They're fun. They add the pack flavor with some humor, drama, and suspense. In Heart of the Highland Wolf, I don't think I mentioned teens.
And not in A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing or A Howl for a Highlander.
But in A Highland Werewolf Wedding I do. :)
And in A SEAL Wolf Christmas, we have the runaway teen who Bjornolf brought back to Hunter's Oregon coast wolf pack in A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing. You don't see the teen in the story....but in this one you do.
In Silence of the Wolf, the teens from Destiny of the Wolf are back. A beta reader asked if two of the teens were getting together. I love it!!!
Now, one of the things that fans have asked me--what happened to Bella's babies from Heart of the Wolf? What happened to some of the others who were about due to have them?
So in A SEAL Wolf Christmas, you'll learn about a couple of the couples who had babies on the way.
And I think it was fun. :) I hope you do too!
Do you read romances where children are integral to the story? Or do you like to read stories that are strictly all adult?
