In my plus column: A successful debut of SAVING SCOTT at Barnes & Noble, via their NOOK First program.
Some very nice reviews for my newest Blackthorne, Inc. book, ROOTED IN DANGER.
As a way of saying thank you, I’m going to be holding a new contest. First Prize is A NOOK Simple Touch e-reader. Second and third place winners will get Gift Certificates, either to Barnes & Noble or Amazon.
Here’s the skinny:
I’ll be posing questions on my WordPress blog over the next month. Some might be in posts, some might show up on the sidebar. Each correct answer will give you an entry into the contest. All answers will be found on either my blog or my website. Commenting on blog posts will also give you chances to win.
The rules: (1 and 2 are required. The other steps are optional, but they’ll give you more chances to win)
*1. Follow my blog in some way, shape or form. Feeds, Readers, Networked Blogs, E-mail. Use the contact form to tell me how you’re following. Put ‘NOOK Contest’ in the subject line.
*2. Sign up for my newsletter. (I will check the list to verify that you’ve done this. Also note, signing up is a two-step process. You will get a confirmation email, which you must respond to in order to be signed up.)
3. Answer the questions, again, using the contact form. Put ‘NOOK Contest’ in the subject line. One question/answer per email. Do NOT answer the questions in the comments—don’t want to make it easy for the next guy.
4. Leave a comment on any blog post. Include the words ‘NOOK Contest’ in your comment, and I’ll add an entry for each comment (only 1 per post will count, however.) Comments do need to be more than “nice post.”
5. Leave a review at Amazon or Barnes & Noble for one of my books. One entry per review. Use the contact form to point me to your review. Again, put ‘NOOK Contest’ in the subject line. One review/entry per email.
Fine print. Because of legal issues and postal considerations, the NOOK Simple Touch will have to go to someone in the US. However, second and third place winners can come from outside the US.
Good luck! And I’d appreciate Tweets, FB shares, and all the usual social media buzz you’re willing to give me. It can get lonely when you move to a new home.
