Terry Odell's Biography
Member Info
Terry was born in Los Angeles and after living over 3 decades in Florida, now makes her home in Colorado. An avid reader (her parents tell everyone they had to move from their first home because she finished the local library), she always wanted to "fix" stories so the characters did what she wanted, in books, television, and the movies. Once she began writing, she found this wasn't always possible, as evidenced when the mystery she intended to write rapidly became a romance. She loves getting into the minds of her characters, turning them loose in tight spots and seeing what they do. Too often, they surprise her.
Terry has numerous short stories published by The Wild Rose Press. Cerridwen Press has published three of her romantic suspense novels: Finding Sarah, What's in a Name? and Hidden Fire. All are available in print as well as digital format. What's in a Name? is a Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence finalist, and Finding Sarah finished in second place in The Lories, Romantic Suspense division. A fifth novel, When Danger Calls, was published by Five Star Expressions in 2008. The sequel,Where Danger Hides will be available in June, 2011. Another romantic suspense, Nowhere to HIde will be available fromThe Wild Rose Pressin July of 2010.
She is an active member of the Romance Writers of America, the Kiss of Death chapter of RWA as well as Mystery Writers of America. When she's not writing, she's probably reading
