I am the author of the novel The Last Bridge which was released by Ballantine Books in July 2009. I am an alumna of New York University. In addition to writing fiction, I wrote and performed stand-up comedy for many years. I divide my time between New York City and the North Fork of Long Island.
Influences
I have been influenced by many writers and artists. I have a wide range of influences from the fiction of Tom Robbins and Sue Miller, the poetry of Philip Shultz and Mary Oliver, the films of Jane Campion...I could go on and on.
From a storytelling perspective my greatest influence was my father. He was one of the best storytellers I have ever known.
