Shortly after Evie Shockley edited an issue of Didi Menendez' journal MiPoesias featuring a diverse array of African American poets. One of two readings featuring poets from the issue included me, Tonya Foster, Mendi Obadike, R. Erica Doyle, Geoffrey Jacques.
