Dear Rabbi Miller,
Hello. Here is my story. This weekend I began a mild manic episode. I haven't had one since age 19 (good job me maintaining life stress!)
Physical illness combined with a lot of life stress = I talk to much, and apparently I am not tracking correctly my thoughts. (I like to joke, I just can't shut up ;)
And so, visited GP, social worker there at Motion Picture Health Company, Both DEMANDED I go to ER yesterday. ER got me an impossible to get psychiatrist appointment for today at 11:30. This person will determine when I can go back to work and not have everyone know.
We, you and I, can sit down and have a conversation. You will know immediately if I am too funky to work, and the psychiatrist today will let you know too.
Feel free to talk to my psychiatrist, and MFT I have been with for years and years. I will sign release forms. There is my story. I apologize profusely for the length of anything I write. God bless.
