HISTORY OF WORLD BEGINS IN TURKEY.

Turkey has Greece and Bulgaria and Aegean Sea on the west, Black Sea in the north,  Mediterranean Sea in the south and southeast you have Syria, Iraq, Iran and Russia  all share borders with them. Turkey engulfs Marmara Sea within itself.

This is a very historical country, it was always been center of the world all thru  Greek Period, Roman period, the council of nicea was concluded here, council of bishops  and Athnasian creed was concluded in Turkey. Thrace is part of turkey, Pergamon is part  of Turkey, Hattie civilization is part of Turkey. Assyrians are part of turkey.

Byzantine Emperor's capital was ISTANBUL, great people said many things about ISTANBUL,  Lamartine the philosopher said, If I am allowed to look upon earth once I will look at  this city with all my feelings. This is a city worthy to be capital of world and  EUROPEAN UNION.

Let us see Bosporus or the land called GOLDEN HORN. Let me describe you Land, there  is a narrow strait called Bosporus strait between European Land and Asian Land, this  STRAIT is 700 to 3000 meters wide between MARMARA SEA and BLACK SEA, ISTANBUL old and new envelops this Strait and the land surrounding it. Both lands are connected with 3  under sea metro train tunnels and many bridges floating all over BOSPHORUS. Galata

GOLDEN HORN is the costliest real estate in the world, this land must be seen to  believe it, narrow strip of land with MARMARA SEA on south and BLACK SEA on north, it  is 31 Kilometers wide and around 360 Kilometers long. Die to own such a beautiful piece of land.

There is a market in ISTANBUL called Egyptian market it is present since 1660 C.E.I  move on, there are miles to cover all over TURKEY. There is a burnt tower in Istanbul  standing since 330 C.E. There are other cities and towns called KIRKLARELI, EDRINE.

Edrine city was founded in 10 B.C., We move on to CANAKKALE (DARDANELLES) this  area again has beautiful narrow strait, connecting Aegean Sea to Sea of Marmara. This  area was witness to many battles in history and world wars. In this vicinity we have  ASSOS, NEANDREIA, TROY. All very historical cities occupied by Greeks, Romans,
Persian Etc., We go towards BURSA, there are natural hot water baths near this city and many monuments of historical value.

IZMIR, AYDIN, MUGLA, USAK, AFYON are important towns and cities worth  mentioning NYPMHS  mountain was made in 2 C.E. (CHRISTIAN ERA). IZMIR is a modern  sea port with a very good FREE ZONE in it, IZMIR is a centre of shipments and business. Historical EPHESUS and PERGAMON are around here this area, it is known for its mild sunny
climate. There are historical sites around here from as early as 4B.C. to 1400 B.C.  The cave of 7 sleepers and ST.JOHN'S and ST.LUKE'S graves are in this area. There is a  natural SPA reputed to cure RHEUMATISM AND KINDNEY AILMENTS. This SPA is called AGAMEMNON SPA.

We stop at AYDIN, it has its unique TEMPLES, FORTS and other important sites. Few miles  we move to the seaport of BODRUM a beautiful place worth mention, endowed with natural  beauty, this place is a regular stop for WORLD CURISE SHIPS. The resort of TELMESSOS is  called FETHIYE in Turkey, it has DEAD SEA and a picture perfect SEA PORT. We have reached MEDITERRANEAN lands ANTALYA with a beautiful harbor and caves are famous for dripping rocks.

Mersin with Roman baths and magic caves of bubbling sweet and salty waters are a must  dip for any person visiting here. ANTAKYA city has ancient bridges and churches and  many wonderful sites. We will pause towards ANKARA the capital city of Turkey. It has  all the things any capital city will have anywhere in the world. There are many meuseums
here in this city.

Central land locked region of where ANKARA is, has other towns called CANKIRI, KIRSEHIR, NAVSEHIR, KONYA and others, this area was famous during Roman times, it was called  CAPPADOCIA. It has fairy chimneys, which are chimney like rock structures spread all  over this area. The hills have deep chambers and natural rock forts, there are signs of  tombs and many historical human habitations, it is just unbelievable natural rock chambers
here.

KONYA was settled in early 2600 B.C. Later Seljuk Sultans made this city capital of  their Kingdom it has many Seljuk monuments, the cult of whirling dervishes belong to this  area. We move on to the BLACK SEA region, main cities in this area are BOLU, SAMSUN, ORDU, TRABZON, CORUM, AMASYA. CORUM was a Hattie settlement, it has Large lions carved out of big rocks, called SPINX,  moreover there are in TRABZON has Christian monastery high up in rock face, it is  1300 meters high. This mountain building has carved out 6 levels and 75 rooms or cells,  it is so unique to look at, it  will inspire awe in onlooker, it is decorated with beautiful paintings inside.

Moving towards borders of Russia we have cities called ERZURUM, VAN, MUS, ELAZIG etc.,  In the area of lake VAN there are beautiful fortress constructed around 855 B.C. and many  other historical sites, now we come to the final frontiers towards the borders of ARAB  countries that is SYRIA, IRAQ, IRAN. We have famous towns called GAZIANTEP, AIYAMAN,  DIYARBAKIR and others, the people here speak good fluent ARABIC it is their second
language. This area has the famous NEMRUD temple, this can be seen on a site 2300 meter  above the sea level, watch the world from here. There are stone statues and a site called FALLEN HEADS, these heads are carved from stone and they are 10 meters tall and  many in number. There is a cave reputed to belong to PROPHET ABRAHAM
there is a well here attributed to have cured PROPHET JOB.

Turkey has many exquisite carpets, meerschaum pipes and so wonderful landscapes  nowhere to be seen, the people here are very friendly and helpful, they all have  a respect for strangers, they have the culture of inviting strangers to have food  with them. This country is bejeweled with so many wonderful places it requires a life  time to explore all of them. Turkey is blessed with bounties of nature since ages long.
