suzy hayman deyoung's Biography

I spent fifteen years working in television production as an Associate Producer for a number of TV-talk-shows including, Live With Regis and Kathie Lee, Good Morning America and The CBS Morning Program. I returned to school shortly after the birth of my first child and received a Masters of Education in Child and Parent Development from Bank Street College of Education in NYC. I taught pre-school in NYC and Connecticut before starting my own Parent Coaching Practice in 2004. (www.parentingwithnewperspectives.com.) I write the Parenting Today column for The Newtown Patch and have published a number of parenting blogs and articles for various publications. I am working on my first book - a compilation of reflections and hindsight from parents and parenting experts on what they would do differently as parents if "they knew then what they know now." The book is tentatively titled: Parenting With Perspective - Hindsight and Insight From Parents and Child Rearing Experts Who Dare to Look Back. The many contributing experts and authors so far include, Elizabeth Lesser, Harriet Lerner, Carol Kranowitz and Dr. Robert Brooks
