TODAY IS U PAY FOR WHAT U WANT
This is one of those old adages that not only has wisdom, but has the legacy of truth to behold its authenticity. Funnily this blog came about while I was riding home from seeing this certain admirable physician. “I’d waited almost an entire year for him to see me.” As I was sitting in his office awaiting his presence I thought to myself “I hope and pray he’s everything my primary-physician and others claim him to be.” Admittedly he was that and so much more.
As soon as he shook my hand, he sat down looked over the injury and diagnosed me. I was thinking “your going to have to do better than that, and I waited a year to see you.” He began to ask me many questions pertaining to the injury, he then told me how it had healed itself, and that the appearance (bulging out) was of the norm. He then asked me “what line of work did I do?” I told him I was writer. He then asked how much writing do I do on a daily bases. I said “anywhere from ten/twelve hours a day.” He said “That’s a lot of writing; however it has been great therapy for your injury.” I was taken back for a moment, I had no idea that my writing was not only healing my soul, but it had healed a physical part of my body that was essential for writing. He then reassured me that I would be perfectly fine in about (6) six months, and a couple sessions of therapy could instruct me how to continue the healing process. This was a relief, but it wasn’t enough considering he hadn’t looked over the test results. Finally he looked at the test result, and verbatim repeated every word he’d just stated. Get a load of that!
As he was typing his findings he asked me “ so what kind of writing do you do?" Before I was able to answer the question he’d answered it for himself, without even realizing he’d done so. “Fiction, hum.” He said. I wasn’t freaked out at all, that he’d answered his own question about me, as some may have been. I smiled, waiting to see did he observe his own mind as I had, and he did as I knew he would. He looked up at me with consent, and I then went on tell him about my first love of writing which is “Christian-Fiction” short-stories, poetry, blogs, and impending novels. Inadvertently he parted his lips, and his eyebrows lifted which was a sure sign of interest. Some may ask “What kind of interest?” I have no idea; hopefully it’s the Christian Fiction, either way it was nice of him to show interest. As he was referring me to where my therapy would be done. He granted me some saving life advice “which didn’t pertain to the appointment.” I was defiantly moved, considering he didn’t have to even mention this wisdom to me.
My friends, I can’t deny when I first went to see this physician I was only thinking about the future of my physical being, the appointment that I was informed about (one day in advance), as well as the co-payment. Nevertheless when I allowed my mind to place a priceless value on the wisdom that was entailed with this physician, I could then appreciate the price I’d paid in waiting for him to see me, and price I would pay later.
Please get this! U PAY FOR WHAT U WANT, regardless of the price in that which you are paying. There can be such value in everyone that we meet, and everything that we do if we’ll learn to reject the ego (flesh) onset. Be reminded the flesh detest wisdom, and it'll try to bombard the mind anyway it came from receiving any wisdom that is contradictive of its own wisdom. Sadly we hardly ever notice the value of what is before us, because were so busy allowing flesh to instigate the cost it entails. In so many words we sell ourselves cheap, because we refuse to sacrifice "comfort of the flesh" and pay the price for its worth.
T.D. Jakes said “Everyone wants the crown, but people don’t want to carry the cross. And in order to have the crown you must carry the cross. So those people you see with the crown they paid a price by carrying a cross.” By the way the cross symbolizes a sacrifice is being made, and the crown symbolizes victory has been won. They go hand in hand, if you carry the cross you automatically reeive the crown, if you don’t carry the cross you don’t receive the crown. U PAY FOR WHAT U WANT!
Hold up wait a minute! In no way am I saying you should go out and pay the most expensive prices for services or things. What I’m saying is when something is of value to you; most defiantly for sure you’ll pay the cost to preserve it, involve yourself in of it, protect it, nourish it, or enjoy it. Only you and God know whether or not you’re investing in those things for Him, yourself, family, others, or this world.
Please allow me to broaden your perspective. For example If two people are writing the same paper, and one of them is investing a lot of time “U PAY FOR WHAT U WANT” in exploring, reading, and researching the paper, whilst the other is merely touching the bases. It is absurd for the other person to become angry, because they got a C instead of an A. Even though they both signed up for the same paper, the other person got the A in which they paid for. Get it! As I mentioned earlier, I paid a price to see that physician. I had to deal with some unknown aches, and pains in order to see the best physician for the best solution for my situation.
Do you see now! I learned some great wisdom this morning about great minds, and one undeniable truth will always remain the same, there aren’t many of them among us, considering there is always a sacrifice in pertaining one. Now on the other hand there is a vast amount of small minds “so plentiful” as they are. This brings to mind some beautiful words of wisdom one of my daughters spoken to me when she was (17) seventeen years old. At the time we were looking for a house to purchase, and I was about to just settle for a cheap one, which didn’t look welcoming inside or out “more work”, more money." She said “Mommy if it’s going to be a cheap house make sure it doesn’t look cheap, because these houses that were looking at look cheap inside and out.” In essence she was saying U PAY FOR WHAT U WANT, you buy a cheap house inside and out, you’re PAYING FOR WHAT U WANT. I’m sure at the time she didn’t realize the wisdom in what she was saying to me. I now know that was the Holy Spirit speaking through her to me.” The overall point is U PAY FOR WHAT U WANT.
