TODAY IS SUM-IT UP WEDNESDAY

    This expression is asking one to analysis what has occurred in their presence or in their life. Glory to God when I placed him first in my life he allowed me to SUM-UP many questionable incidences that had happened in my life. “But put God’s kingdom first. Do what he wants you to do. Then all of those things will also be given to you. ” (Matthew 6:33).

     I know factual that since I put God first I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting some extraordinary people that has given me some ruff truth about SUM-IT UP. There are two people that I can say for sure assisted God in disillusioning me  about pain, hurt, disappointment, and rejection. These two people refused to allow me to be the victim of myself, or the victim of evil. The first person I'll mention is Dr. Elliot, (Thank you Dr. Elliot). He was the first person to ever say to me  “Susie no one has hurt you all has healed you.” I thought at the time this man is living on some other planet, surely it’s not earth, because I’m feeling real hurt right now. He then went on to tell my ego (flesh) was bruised for evil can never harm the spirit of me. I was like serious dude,  I’m not talking about my spirit,  I’m talking about my hurt. Nonetheless everything he said to me concerning hurt was quickly established in my heart. “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (Jeremiah 31:33).

      Mysteriously a year later I meet this woman prophetess Eunice Pugh, and I was wining to her how everyone I ever knew had hurt me in some form or fashion.  Wouldn’t you know she verbatim repeat those very words Dr. Elliot had spoken. “Sue, no one has hurt you all has healed you.” I was like are you serious! Then I told her about Dr. Elliot and his many teachings, and how he told me the same thing a year ago. She went to tell me that she innately believed the same thing that Dr. Elliot believed, and I should inquire of the Lord to bring about clarity. “If any of you need wisdom, ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone. He doesn’t find fault.” (James 1:5).

      I immediately decided to go on a spiritual voyage of inquiring God about identity, pain, suffering, bondage, etc. All while testing their words to see if they were of God. “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit. Put the spirits to the test to see if they belong to God. Many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1).  This scripture is to be taken literally, and very much so. Therefore I searched the bible, and listen to many  physical testimonies, dug deep into some philosophy, read some old  psychology text books, inquired some scientific knowledge  (one day  all of these will become singular with the spirit). And what I found out to be true was everyone I thought had hurt me had really healed me.

      Hold up wait a minute! In no way am I saying that evil hadn’t entered my path, but what I am saying is that it came to heal me from my own mistaken identity,  disillusions, core values, and environment . To SUM-IT UP those that ‘I” thought hurt me taught me how to survive, how to live, how to love, how to value people, how to demostrate peace, how to display compassion, how to have remorse, how to forgive, how not gossip, how not to lie, how to be the friend that I am now, how to guard and protect what I cherish, how not abuse, and how not to steal.

     To SUM-IT UP everyone that has ever entered my path had a value that money, fame, and the glory of this world could never give me, for they assisted God in giving me the authentic me.  My friends, I can only attest to what has already occurred in my life that is why I can SUM-IT UP as “What should we say then? Since God is on my side, who can be against us? God did not spare his own son. He gave him up for us all. Then won’t he also freely give us everything else.” (Romans 8:31-32).
