TODAY IS NOW WHAT TUESDAY
This statement is denoting that one has accomplished the task before them, however they are perplexed on what to do next. Admittedly I used to be one of those people that if I wasn't doing something, I felt like something was wrong with me. For example, if I cleaned my house, and set down afterwards I would instantly feel condemned "as if I should be doing something esle." Funnily my children told me that this behavior of mine used to agitate them when they were young, because it was always excessive. I highly agreed! Through the years many people had pointed this out to me, however I wasn't receptive at the time, because I felt they were just as excessive in their lifestyle. Thank you Jesus I no longer feel that away, for sometime now God has strongly being dealt with me on NOW WHAT.
As you may know by now God has his own way of delivering us from us. "The heavens are higher than the earth. And my ways are higher than your ways. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:9 NIRV). As far as I'm concerned this settles all that foolish babble about what we think God should do. As time has gone by God has allowed me to see that NOW WHAT was a trap in which "my" ego (flesh) had teamed up with the enemy (Satan) to destroy me from spending intimate time with God, as well as quality time in learning his word. "Free me from the trap that is set for me. You are my place of safety. Into your hands I commit my very life. Lord, set me free. You are my faithful God." (Psalms 31: 4-5 NIRV). I taken this scripture literally, and it has been instrumental in NOW WHAT.
Think about it, if were always NOW WHAT after every task we complete, we'll never be mindful to complete the most important task in this life "which is maintaining a intimate relationship with God." This is the most important relationship we'll ever have in this world, it is essential that before our day begins we pray and ask God NOW WHAT, and proceed according to His plan and purpose.
I encourage you to be mindful every time you accomplish a task, reason be the ego (flesh)-enemy (Satan) will certainly beckon you to become excessive in the NOW WHAT, or idle in the NOW WHAT. I can attest to to it. There were times I would be so exhausted from working my job "sometimes overtime", raising my children "soccer mom was an understatement for me" I was super mom, literally. I would clean the house, do the yard work, and when it was time for bed I would read the bible only because of NOW WHAT. Sadly during those times, I can't even remember what my prayer life was , nor my relationship with God. Reason be I didn't have either, all I had was NOW WHAT. Tragically if NOW WHAT isn't balanced out, one will always entertain the ego (flesh). Please remember the ego-enemy has no balance, never has-never will. Take today and consider your NOW WHAT.
