where the writers are

Our “GOD” is so wonderfully amazing! He has granted me the opportunity to lyrically express some of his characteristics in a rhythm expression. Undeniably this is the best rhythm expression I have ever written about.  How awesome is that! Did you know lyrics of expression about God have always been a part of ancient history as it is our modern history?

In no way shape or form am I a singer, or rapper, but I am a writer who will expresses my creative intellect according to what is true, pure, edifying, and agreeable with Gods characteristics. Please understand, there isn’t one "follower of Christ" that would express a rhythm expression that is adverse toward God, or the redemption of His Son Jesus Christ. If so then they are not followers of Christ, they are followers of the devil. “You belong to your father the devil. You want to obey your father’s wishes. From the beginning, the devil was a murderer. He has never obeyed the truth. There is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his natural language. He does this because he is liar. He is the father of lies.” (John 8:44). So as far as I’m concerned, those who express lyrics that are contrary to God are giving homage to the devil.

I’m very much aware of the many modern day Sadducees and Pharisees that'll rip their clothing in sheer horror that woman of God all over the world are writing/singing rhythm expression describing the characteristics of God. To that I say “Get over your-self!” These are the very folk that before they accepted the redemption work of Jesus Christ were likewise expressing sinful lyrics with their lifestyle.

I do realize that before some faithfully accepted the redemption work of Jesus Christ, lyrics of any kind was their vice, and in turn it became their God, therefore they must abstain from all rhythm expressions. I applaud you for that! G TO THE O TO THE D wants us to remain free, by all cost you see. “You were taught not to live the way you used to. You must get rid of your old way of life. That’s because it is polluted by longing for things that lead you down the wrong path. “(Ephesians 4:22). Be reminded if rap lyrics of any sort were your vice before you accepted Jesus Christ, then very well so you should shun away from them.

I believe every one of us have the ability to liberally express God according to who he is, and what it means to have Him in our life. We must be conscious in the fact that God deals with all of us according to era, and culture, and it’s always based on His divine blueprint for his creation. Be reminded as long as Gods name isn’t in vain or compromised we can liberally express Him.  Therefore I’ll continue on with this blog (free styling) a little bit if you will.

G TO THE O TO THE D is who created all in all you see. “All things were created by him. He created everything in heaven and on earth. He created everything that can be seen, and everything that can’t be seen. He created kings, powers, rulers and authorities. Everything was created by him and for him. Before anything was created he was already there. He holds everything together.” (Colossians 1:16-17).

G TO THE O TO THE D is so good to me, that I can’t help but to praise him you see.  Isn’t this tasty, scrumptious and delicious? This brings to mind when I expressed these very word while in the company of my five-year old grandson. His response “Ms. Susie, you can’t eat God.” Certainly I had to explain to him in his own jargon how my words were an expression of how good God is. “Your words are very sweet to my taste! They are sweeter than honey to me.” (Psalm 119-103 NIRV).

G TO THE O TO THE D is who woke me up see. He takes good care of me. “I lie down and sleep. I wake up again, because the Lord takes care of me. I want be afraid of the tens of thousands who are lined up against me on every side.” (Psalm 3:5-6).

G TO THE O TO THE D is my Father my Lord in Him is all I be. “Yes, we are Gods children. So we shouldn’t think that God is made out of gold or silver or stone. He isn’t a statue planned and made by clever people.” ( Acts 17:29).

G TO THE O TO THE D is who makes me free. “So if the son of Man sets you free, you will really be free.” (John8:36).

G TO THG TO THE O TO THE D is coming back for me. “There are many rooms in my Father’s house. If this were not true, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. If I go and do that, I will come back. And I will take you to be with me. Then you will also be where I am.” (John 14:2-3).

Thank you God, for allowing me to write these lyrics. considering I wouldn't have ever written them twenty-years ago. See I was taught that any music that had a secular beat was of this world, and Christians that played such lyrics and music were trying to usher in the secular world into the church. This brings to mind when I first heard Kirk Franklin, admittedly I jumped on the religious band-wagon (crucify kirk franklin) he’s trying to destroy the purity of the church with secular music.

Ignorantly I was blinded to the truth with doctrine, religious opinions, traditions, spiritual-laws and man-made church laws. I shall forever remember the day I was set free from that lie about lyrics. A friend of mine invited me to her brother’s church, and as we were walking to the door we could hear an evangelist preaching about Kirk Franklin. I could barely contain myself; I wanted to burst into the doors and say “Please rewind those twenty-minutes (I missed), because I know without a doubt that God sent me here to bring about clarity concerning this Kirk Franklin debate that has been warring (internal and external) with me for some time now.”

Nevertheless I just sat attentively and soaked in every word, while writing down the scriptures to reference it. She then played one of his songs to the congregation, and went over it lyric by lyric with explanation of how God had raised up a man such as Kirk Franklin to reach people that weren’t reachable by the means of tradition, religion, etc. At that very moment, I was enlightened to the truth which was Kirk Franklins lyrics and music was ushering in salvation, love, healing and hope for an unsaved people.

My friends, it taken me many years to define what and who God was in my life, and no devil in hell will employ his imps/demons to condemn the manner in which I choose to praise and worship God. Therefore I might write lyrics, place a beat or thump in my lyrics, I might sway to the left or right , I might slow dance with my king, Father, Lord Savior Jesus Christ. I might dance till my clothes fall off in adoration of who God is. And when my life is done here on this earth, I’ll be confident that I represented, and expressed God in my life to the fullest measure.
