TODAY IS FAST FEET
This expression is implying that one is using their lowest extremities to quickly move forward. I'll be applying this expression to the many folk who FAST FEET to trouble. “And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15). Whether or not you agree the moment you move your FEET you are fast moving to evil or good.
By the way, I used to be one of those folk, whenever something went wrong in my life, or the lives of my family and friends I would FAST FEET to the rescue. The Lord hates hearts that make evil plans, feet that are quick to do evil, any witness who pours out lies and anyone who stirs up family fights." (Proverbs 6:18-19).
This expression arrived before me when my sister (Annette Hill) stayed the night at my home. We were discussing the many blogs I write, and she recommended this blog “FAST FEET FRIDAY.” I quickly thought about what FAST FEET FRIDAY meant to me. I then asked her what it meant to her, before God delivered her from drugs. Her reply “Sister, FAST FEET FRIDAYS was my day of opportunity to hustle-bustle for the best drugs, all whilst swindling folk out of money. I then shifted the conversation to the many times we would search for her on Fridays. Her reply "How many FRIDAYS did you all find me?” My response. “Probably none.” She highly agreed, and immediately started praising our God for her deliverance. I chimed in, and and we both immersed ourselves into thanksgiving.
Shortly after I went into my office to write this blog; I was overtaken in thought about my many previous FAST FEET FRIDAYS. Nevertheless Thursday- blog was yet awaiting me to finish. On top of it, I hadn't packed anything for my Friday trip. Therefore I quickly adjusted myself, and started to finish the blog for Thursday. In hindsight Friday had quickly taken over my thoughts about Thursday, and I wasn't even conscious of what was occurring. " Be anxious for nothing. Still yet I was waiting in expectancy to see what my FAST FEET FRIDAY would bring.
As I sit on the plane (Friday) I started to reflect on my many previous FAST FEET FRIDAY. As I was enlighten to my own truth about Fridays; I realized that my Fridays always consisted of me spending my hard earned money to be groomed for the world. By that I mean, on Friday I would FAST FEET to the bank, beauty salons, taking my children to the mall, then out to the restaurants, then off to party. Isn't that something all of that FAST FEET FRIDAY never gave God his honor, or his proper in being Lord over my life.
Surely my FAST FEET FRIDAY appetite and cravings (flesh) were constantly being engrossed with pleasures of no restraint. “Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the father in you. For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possession. These are not from the father. They are from this evil world. And this world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you the will of God, you will live forever.” (1 John 2:15-18).
Certainly Friday was the very day that hindered my presence from living every day with God, and for God. This shouldn't be so! I believe when we "anxiously" await for FRIDAY to arrive, and consume it with our money and time we've omitted God from appearing in that day. "So don't worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:33-34).
Please get this! All the other days that I was living in were of no importance to me, because if they were I would've lived them in expectation as I did for Friday. And my Friday wouldn't have consumed me as if it was the only day of the week. When I think about it like this, Sunday and Monday were my most dreadful days, considering on Sunday I thought I was doing God a "huge" favor by attending church. And to soothe my flesh for its participation for attending church, I would filter my mind with tangents of complaints about tithes, offerings, church service, the preacher and the list goes on. Then on Monday I would have to face that I was tired, broke, irritated, and restless all while searching for money to pay my bills. Then the count down till Friday would start all over again. It had gotten to the point every day except the week-end was a mundane routine. This is tragic living! FAST FEET FRIDAY has the potential to remove the peace of God from your very life. We've got to get to a point that every day is just as important as FRIDAY. "This is the day the Lord has made;we will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24).
Let’s quickly reflect on what FRIDAYS are usually entailed with. Sure enough the streets will be congested. Sadly we will witness many accidents. The malls and restaurants will be full to capacity. Let’s not forget how much money we will spend (new clothes, new shoes, new jewelry, new hair styles). Oh, what about the clubs, the liquor, the coverage charge. The recreational drugs being supplied and used. The disagreements, fights, driving while drunk/high, murdering, etc. Hold up wait a minute! In no way am I saying this doesn't occur through the week , because it does. However on Fridays it is heighten. I've witness FAST FEET FRIDAY for many years, and it has always been enthralled with fulfilling fleshly appetites.
My friends, I believe there is (always has been) an evil Friday spirit being unleashed on ignorant/foolish folk (as it was myself, before I was enlighten). I compel you, matter of fact I beg all of you who are yet straddling the fence to become conscious of where you FAST FEET to this FRIDAY. Also monitor who, what, where, how, and when is emotionally energizing your hear to feed your flesh. Then after your Friday is over, become conscious of how you feel, what you did, how much money you spent, what you said, and where you went. You'll be shocked to find out that you spent 90% of your time with your flesh, and 10% of your time with God. I can testify to it!
