Monday, April 25, 2011 Death/Taxes Last week I received an e-mail from Red-Room asking its member to submit a blog about death/taxes. I laughed considering both are the fate of us all. I walked to the mailbox to retrieve my mail; expectantly my federal tax bills were entwined with the junk mail I laughed aloud. I immediately started writing about the commonality of death/taxes which is they both have a relentless belly that is never full. The day my mother knew she was pregnant with me I became a tax liability for my parents, as well as a death liability to them or my children. Either way death/taxes both will open their never ending mouth without my permission to receive their due. I can't imagine my children crying three ways upon my exit; crying because I departed, crying because I didn't plan to die so their is no insurance-policy, or crying because theirs a lien on everything I owe. Therefore I might as well accept this fate and conquer death/taxes by paying them with dignity and grace. Posted by Susie L Hill at 2:49 PM
