Just learned from my editor that Raggin' Jazzin' Rockin': A History of American Musical Instrument Makers is a YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults Nominee. This award from the Young Adult Library Services Association, a division of the American Library Association, honors the best nonfiction books published for young adults (ages 12-18) during a November 1 – October 31 publishing year. It also means a beautiful shiny sticker for the book! I'm so grateful!
