Susan Schott Karr is a professional communications consultant with over 25 years of editing, writing and coaching experience in corporate, financial, and technical communications. With an eye toward business development, she has helped over 40 Fortune 500 companies and many startups improve the effectiveness of their written communications. She has recently worked as the interim communications manager and then senior communications writer at UC Hastings College of the Law and as a writing coach at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Susan has published over 30 articles in Financial Executive and Compliance Week magazines. She holds a B.A. in education/English from The College of William & Mary, an M.B.A. in general management/finance from Golden Gate University, a Certificate in Web Design from the University of California at Davis, and a Certificate in Novel Writing from Stanford University. She designed and built her website, WordSuite.com, to reflect the nature of her business. Currently, she is enrolled in a Creative Writing Program for fiction at Stanford University and is completing her first novel. In addition, Karr has written nine nonfiction children’s books, all of which have been published by Pearson Learning Group for use in the classroom. One served as the prototype for a 48-book series.
