The TLS Poetry Competition continues until December 5th, and if you haven't voted for Poem E yet, now is the time
In the meantime, there are other poetic obligations to attend to. I've been asked to give a talk and workshop this Wednesday on the relationship between poetry and the visual arts. I have been writing poems about an early 20th century Northwest woman photographer and will use that project as a way to discuss how photographs can inspire the imagination, but I would be thankful for other ideas from you, dear reader. Have you written poems inspired in some way by a photograph or painting? Do you use visuals in teaching writing workshops? Are you skeptical of this comingling? Tell me!
