Anyone who's read this blog at pretty much any time in the past four years knows that I've been chronically short of money. Things are improving a little now that I'm back as part of the regular workforce, but I'm working to bring in more income to pay off debts and such incurred over that same period. My one real skill, where I outshine most, is with baking. I'm a pretty good cook, but nothing spectacular and many others can cook much, much better than I can, but with baking, I have a real knack. I think about the recipes, what works here and doesn't work there, and tweak them, tweak, tweak them, until I get just the result I'm looking for.
***It helps here that one of my many mantras is, "the money isn't wasted if you learn something." So, failures along my experimental road went right into the trash as I learned what did and didn't work.
KidThree has started selling my cookies out and about, bringing her some spending money, but I can bake many more cookies than she can sell. I've put feelers out to find other sellers, perhaps some tamale ladies who would like to add dessert to what they have to offer or college kids who want to sell to the other students out on the quad, and have gotten some good feedback.
Yesterday, some feedback directed me to eBay, where I discovered an entire world of home bakers selling online. Oh my. I had had no idea. I don't know if selling cookies online works, but it can't hurt to try, so I took some pictures, wrote some text, and put up my ad.

If anyone out there wants to buy some cookies, feel free to give mine a shot; your taste buds will thank you.
