This is a quirky women's comedy about five middle-aged women looking for good men in today's dating world, mainly the internet. After experiencing disastrous dating experiences and meeting strange and undesirable men, the women are about to give up when Sandy Applegate, the book's narrator, comes up with a plan based on "you have to kiss 50 frogs before you meet your prince" and the quest continues. Things finally begin to change when the game plan is changed.
Then the princes begin to appear, but Sandy, a true klutz, is unable to handle her first date with a desirable and very handsome doctor. She sadly realizes that she is a frog. Sandy and her pals decide to make some personal changes and finally meet their princes.
Winchester, Sandy's neurotic English bulldog is featured throughout the story. He creates havoc for those who meet him until he leads his mistress to her prince, a canine behavior specialist. He too finds happiness with a new doggie playmate and Prozac.
The book is based on my own experiences, but fictionalized. All the characters are fictitious except for the English bulldog. He was real.
