So what is the big deal about Meditation?
A fair enough question, well, the answer would be that the returns are higher than the investment!
A mind that has disciplined itself to meditate everyday overcomes fear in general and works selflessly. Such a mind is not carried away frivolous behavior of fellow beings. It knows its goals, work ethic and methodology. It does not get frustrated by the work load; as a matter of fact, it exercises patience without putting on an effort on the word patience. It can work long hours without bearing the burden of work. A fifteen hour work schedule would be a cake walk for it. The mind neither hoards animosity nor does it wait for appreciations. Once the work is done perfectly, it moves on to finish the next job in hand without complaining. That is the miracle of meditation. There is no need to think twice about the benefits of meditation as what I write is what I have been going through ever since I took meditation seriously.
Enjoying the work in hand, without getting aggravated about work pressure, the mind gets trained to reach perfection. Besides, who wouldn't love a perfect job?
Gratitude is a pathway to happiness. One also learns to be grateful to the almighty and everything that he has given as a gift. Family, friends, good health, talent, the list would go on; if one stops to count one's blessings. Tell me, at such a state, where is the room to hoard negative energy.
With the positive energy radiating from your being, people around you start coming closer to you. You would willingly extend a helping hand to those who seek your help and the returns are double fold. It is best to remember that it is easier to swim downstream.
Every now and then one can return to deep meditation to draw in cosmic energy. It is the energy within that we call as will power that pulls us along in spite of a weak health at times. Meditate deeply twice a week or once week a week depending on the need of energy. Deep meditation is a state of Samadhi, where in the mind disconnects from the body and reaches a higher plane to connect to the Universe. Based on ones level of vibrations one can connect to other planes. Progress in spiritualism is a slow progress; one cannot rush with it. This journal is a personal record of experiences related to meditation, written and recorded for further study.
