Georgia Dogs are OK for Oklahoma!

What an exciting afternoon!  Everything came to a stop at Woodsong and in our children's homes too if they were not actually at the Georgia Dogs' stadium in Athens, GA.  We had come from behind yesterday and beaten Ohio State, and we wanted in the worst way to win again today since two out of three wins at the Super Regional allows the team to be one of eight teams in the nation to advance to the World Seriesw in Oklahoma City starting this Thursday.

After we scored the first run, then Ohio State rushed ahead of us 6-1 and things looked bleak.  In the fifth inning, the Dogs woke up and tied the score.  We ended up ahead 7-6 at the end of the sixth inning, and held Ohio State scoreless in the last inning.

Of course, I felt terrible for the Ohio women since it would also have been their school's first World Series appearance just as it will be Georgia's.
