USC NORCAL TROJAN CLUB BASEBALL EVENT - GAME AND DINNER SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2009 The University of Southern California NorCal Trojan Club will hold its annual baseball event on Saturday, May 23, 2009. At 1 PM the Trojans take on the University of California at Berkeley's Evans Diamond. They are battling for an NCAA play-off berth and this game may well be the one that puts us over the top. Assuming weather and normal game progress, the game should end around 4 PM. Two hours later, at approximately 6:30 PM, will be the baseball dinner at Massimo's 1606 Locust Street Walnut Creek, CA 94596 (925) 274-1606 http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/6/764307/restaurant/Massimo-Ristorante-Walnu... Massimo's is family-owned by a great Trojan, Meribeth Farmer, and is the site of many East Bay Trojan events over the years. Meribeth can be reached by cell at (925) 788-7329 or by email at meribethfa@aol.com. The players, coaches, and immediate administrative/baseball staff dine courtesy of the NorCal Trojan Club. All others, including family, friends, alumni and fans, are welcome for a cost of $40. Even if you cannot come, but wish to sponsor a player's meal, or make a contribution to the NorCal Trojans, make checks payable for $40 (or more) and mail to: Steven Travers 111 Oak Springs Dr. San Anselmo, CA 94960-1324 An invitation has been extended to Trojan baseball legend Tom Seaver, and we are very hopeful that "Tom Terrific" will attend the game and address the group at the dinner.
