Once upon a time a good ol’ boy from West Virginia named John McKay and a good ol’ boy from Alabama named Bear Bryant got together, played a football game, and everything changed for the better in the South. Since then, things have gotten better and better in Dixie, worse and worse in my once-great state of California. It took awhile, but the disease of liberalism has reached football. In my opinion, liberalism has helped make college football in every region of America medicore. Conservatism, Christianity and a little bit of country music just to keep the folks loose has had the effect of that the American South, the SEC in particular, now is the last bastion of excellence, of greatness, of commitment, in a country that will never be great again. Only Dixie remains great.
Out here in the Golden State I am mired in unimpressiveness and liberal mediocrity. Crap politics. Cities bankrupt. Cops run amok by crime in the streets. All liberals touch turns to crap. Conservatives? They form Rotaries, write the Constiutution, and create great football, not to mention great baseball and a lot of other greatness (how much better is country music than rap?). The rest of the nation? Barack Obama’s country, a welfare state, owned by China, Hollywood making crappola, gay marriage and global warming the gods replacing the Lord Jesus Christ in schools, in debt that any traitor would chortle over; done in our lifetimes. The only place that resisted Obama is the only place that resists medioicrity. Hopefully this will last, but liberalism is a cancer coming to a neighborhood near you. In 30 years the South will start to fall because of it.
I hate to see this, but I can see a third civil war in 50 years. I also hate to say this, but for the first time I think it possible this country would have been better off had the South not actually won the first one, but gotten an armistice. My guess is that with the Industrial Revolution, slavery would have ended by World War I and by far less violent means.
Meanwhile, my Trojans suck so bad I cannot put it into words. The SEC is so much more dominant there is no comparison.
