Prehistoric Crete - Dud & Pete & Mary Renault
Blog Post by Stephen Pain - Jan.27.2011 - 4:31 pm
A friend of mine wrote a poem based on the dialogues of Dudley Moore and Peter Cook - today I came across a book - Dud & Pete - it is so so so funny.
Here is a sketch when they are at an art gallery:

I love their deadpan humour. Got also a book on Prehistoric Crete - I am fascinated by the art and pottery. But read of the script - the one which has not been deciphered yet. I simply had to have a go at guessing what the characters could be - and my first thought they reminded me of Chinese characters. But nobody has really worked them out yet. The picture is from a Mary Renault novel - first edition.
