My new term for a poem. Unforunately it's not very poetic.
Yes... Sounds more like something you'd find in the British Museum.
I'm trying to draw a distinction between verse, which is technically different from prose but semantically similar, and poetry, which is semantically different from both (at least in my mind, which is an unusual place no doubt). Prose and verse signify meaning; poetry embodies it.
An intriguing term; was hoping to see some insight behind your thought process for deriving this new term. Is it related to the idea that the word p-o-e-t-r-y has a negative connotation - especially to the uninitiated?
but possibly an appropriate connotation.
