where the writers are
Amimals
A Friend

I have decided to change the word animals to amimals (ami being Latin for friend).

I'm a writer. I can do that, right?

Well now, Steve,

would that turn 'animadversion' on its head and make it 'amimadversion'- a pleasant comment?!

If so, please don't ask me to have an 'amimated'  conversation with you!

That's okay

I can't spell animadversion anyway.

Wonder what they call us . .

perhaps humules . . because we stubornly refuse to learn to speak body language and we persist in killing coyotes, wolves, bears and mountain lions because they scare us or eat our precious cows and we don't understand the delicate relationship of the natural world need predators to make it whole, viable and healthy. We are mules alright we let ranchers convince us that they need our national parks for grazing cows and hence want to kill all the predators to make it safe for cows and sheep. When the latest research on wolves shows that wolves in Yellowstone have allowed the aspen trees to start growing again and the streams to start becoming healthy enough to support fish, bugs and birds by moving the prey around and not letting them overgraze the best spots. Ah humans, the undisputed most dangerous animal on earth.

A very good question

Let's ask them.

Did you also know that

Did you also know that animal spelled backwards is lamina....a ply or a layer? I think "layer" is the better translation...we have three cats that don't do much but "lay" around all day. Or stare out of windows. What did cats stare out of before people were around to make windows?

Couldn't say

I'm allergic to cats. But I respect them.
