A Christmas Poem
Blog Post by Stephen Evans - Dec.24.2011 - 5:55 pm
I’m trying to write a Christmas poem
But nothing rhymes with poem but Nome.
Or loam. Or foam. Or home. That’s good.
But nothing rhymes with good but wood.
But wood is good for Christmas poems
With roasting chestnuts in the home.
I’m glad that I don’t have a hearth
For nothing rhymes with that but Darth.

When I worked in the UCLA
When I worked in the UCLA Plasma physics department, one of the great challenges was to find something that rhymed with plasma. I came up with "has'ma" as in "Who has'ma plasma? I know I left it here somewhere!"
But for poem....here's a few.
Stow'em,.....what you do with presents until December 25
Show'em.....what you do after you stow 'em
Blow 'em What you do with Christmas candles before retiring
Know 'em. What you think your kids want for Christmas
Ho Ho Ho 'em What Santa does
I'm sure there's more. :)
Merry Christmas!

Thanks Eric

And that's why
My poetry never rhymes. Merry Christmas.
