There are things which people are incapable of, because humans and every creature here in this world were created with limitations.I started this essay with that thought, so that my readers would at least understand and not condemn those people who failed to give a helping hand during the typhoon “Ondoy”. I am not being biased here, I am just trying to point-out some things concerning this issue.
During the disaster of typhoon “Ondoy”, many of us Filipinos were busy volunteering help and donating relief goods for the affected families of the flood caused by typhoon “Ondoy” and some Filipinos failed to do that. So let us find out the reasons why. Since I am one of those who failed to do that charity activity, let me share to you the reasons behind it before you get the wrong idea.
I really wanted to volunteer my help during those times but the affected places of the typhoons are really far from where I live, (you see I live in Rosario, Cavite). In addition, if you are taking that as an invalid reason, then tell me how in the hell could you go to those places when the roads that lead to those places were also flooded? I also wanted to donate cash but how could I do that if I don’t have my own income and still depending on my parents’? And how could I donate my relief goods if there were no donation houses in our place?
Sometimes, the quotation “if there’s a will, there’s a way” is not applicable because even if you have your will but if the way is blocked, then your will will get you to nowhere.
